Introduction: Feni’s Struggle with the 2024 Floods
In August 2024, the Feni region in Bangladesh faced one of the most severe flood events in recent history.
The floods led to 29 deaths and displaced over 500,000 people, with more than 1 million affected across the district.
Thousands lost their homes, and crops, roads, and infrastructure were severely damaged.
At the Mediusware Foundation, we couldn’t stand by and watch.
Moved by the plight of the people, we quickly organized relief efforts to help those in need.
The Problem: Devastation and Displacement
The flood caused significant destruction:
- 29 deaths in Feni alone, with many others injured.
- Over 500,000 people were displaced, seeking refuge in temporary shelters.
- Nearly 300,000 hectares of crops were destroyed, leading to loss of livelihoods for many families.

The situation was dire, and those affected needed urgent support to survive and rebuild.
The Solution: Mediusware Foundation’s Relief Effort
To help those in need, Mediusware Foundation stepped in with much-needed aid:
- Clothing and Blankets: We donated essential winter clothes and blankets to keep people warm during the cold nights.
- Food Supplies: We provided rice, pulses, and other staples to help families survive until they could get back on their feet.
- Community Support: Our team worked with local organizations to ensure that supplies were distributed to the most affected areas.
These efforts were aimed at helping flood victims survive in the short term, while also giving them hope for recovery in the long term.

While the damage was significant, our contributions helped to reduce the suffering and gave people the strength to begin rebuilding their lives.

Blanket Donation: A Little Warmth Goes a Long Way This Winter
Key Takeaways
- The Problem: Many people in Bangladesh, especially the people without homes and living in slums, face extreme cold during winter, which leads to health issues.
- The Solution: Mediusware Foundation donates winter clothes and blankets every year to help those in need stay warm.
- The Impact: More families and individuals can survive the harsh winter months and stay healthy.
- How You Can Help: Support local winter aid initiatives to help others in need during the cold season.

Introduction: Winter Hardships in Bangladesh
Winter in Bangladesh can be very harsh.
For many people, it’s a time of survival.
The cold can be unbearable, especially for those who don’t have a home or proper shelter.
This is a reality for an estimated 5 million individuals without home across the country.
In cities like Dhaka, where millions live in slums, the cold snaps make life even harder. Slum areas like Korail have 60,000 families living in makeshift homes that are prone to fires and lack proper warmth during winter.
The cold causes serious health problems, like hypothermia and respiratory illnesses, which can be life-threatening.
The Problem: People Struggling with the Cold
For many people living in slums or on the streets, winter is more than just uncomfortable, it’s a matter of survival.
The freezing temperatures worsen the already tough conditions they live in.
Without enough clothes or blankets, people in these areas are exposed to the cold and at risk of falling ill.
As Rafijul Islam Rahat said, “Winter arrives quietly... [but it] becomes a harsh struggle for countless poor and people without homes.”
The need for help is urgent, especially for those living in shacks that are vulnerable to fires and the extreme weather.
The Solution: Mediusware Foundation’s Annual Winter Aid
To help those in need, Mediusware Foundation steps in every year to make sure people stay warm.
We donate winter clothes and blankets to unhoused individuals and families, especially in the most affected areas like Dhaka’s slums.
By providing these essentials, we’re able to help people survive the bitter cold and avoid cold-related illnesses.
These donations allow families to stay warmer during the winter months, giving them a better chance at staying healthy.
The Impact: Spreading Warmth and Comfort
Each year, Mediusware Foundation helps hundreds of people by providing blankets and warm clothes. These items help to:
- Prevent illnesses: Keeping people warm helps reduce the risk of hypothermia and respiratory problems.
- Offer comfort: A warm blanket or jacket can make a huge difference for someone who has nowhere else to turn.
- Creating a sense of community: The donations remind people that they are not alone in their struggles, and that help is available when needed.
Looking Ahead: More Warmth for More People
As the winter months come each year, Mediusware Foundation is committed to expanding our reach.
We aim to provide even more clothing and blankets to the most vulnerable communities in the coming years.
Our goal is to make sure everyone has the chance to survive the cold season in better health.

Mediusware Foundation is proud to contribute to the well-being of our community, ensuring that people in need have access to the warmth they deserve during the cold months.
Together, we can make this winter a little warmer for everyone.

- The Solution: Mediusware Foundation provided free essential ingredients, including rice, spices, ghee, and oil, to help families celebrate Eid.

Sharing the Joy of Eid
Eid is a time for family, friends, and special meals.
In Bangladesh, it’s a celebration filled with joy and festive foods.
But for many families, the cost of ingredients for traditional Eid dishes is too high.
As a result, some families end up eating regular food or, sadly, nothing at all.
This year, Mediusware Foundation stepped in to help.
We provided the ingredients for traditional Eid meals, making it possible for families to cook and celebrate together.
The Problem: High Costs of Traditional Dishes
For families facing financial difficulties, the cost of ingredients like rice, spices, ghee, and oil makes preparing traditional Eid meals nearly impossible.
Many are left without the chance to enjoy the special meals that come with the holiday.
To solve this, we provided the necessary ingredients for free, allowing families to celebrate without worrying about the cost.
The Solution: Giving Out Ingredients for Eid Meals
We distributed essential ingredients so families could cook and enjoy their meals. These included:
- Rice: The base for many dishes.
- Spices: To bring the authentic flavors, like garam masala, cumin, and turmeric.
- Macaroni: A perfect snack for the Eid’s evening
- Semail, Milk, & Sugar: For traditional sweets and desserts.
By providing these ingredients, we made sure families could enjoy a festive Eid meal, no matter their financial situation.
The Impact: Bringing Families Together
Thanks to this initiative, many families could prepare and share traditional Eid meals. The results were clear:
- Closer Families: Families gathered around the table to enjoy a special meal together.
- Joy for All: Even those struggling financially could experience the happiness of traditional Eid food.
- A Stronger Community: Small acts of kindness helped build a sense of unity and togetherness.
Looking Ahead: Doing More in the Future
While we’re proud of what we’ve done this year, we know many more families still need help.
We plan to continue this initiative during Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha, and other celebrations, so everyone can enjoy traditional meals.
How You Can Help
We don’t accept donations, but you can still support our efforts by:
- Spreading the Word: Share this story on social media to raise awareness.
- Getting Involved: Reach out to us and find out how you can contribute.
Conclusion: Sharing the Spirit of Eid
This initiative wasn’t just about giving away ingredients.
It was about making sure every family could experience the joy of Eid.
Let’s keep spreading happiness and help more families celebrate Eid with delicious food, no matter their circumstances.

Men’s Day Gift: Growing a Healthier Workplace with Mediusware’s Green Initiative
Key Takeaways
- The Problem: Poor indoor air quality still affects office health and productivity.
- The Solution: Mediusware expanded its indoor plant initiative by adding more plants to desks and common areas.
- The Impact: Improved air quality and employee well-being across the office.
- How You Can Help: Contact us to get involved in this noble cause.

Introduction: Growing a Healthier Future
In 2025, Mediusware continued its mission to improve the health and environment of our office.
On Men’s Day, we didn’t just celebrate our employees, we took another step toward a greener, healthier workspace.
This year, we expanded our Indoor Tree Distribution Drive by adding more plants to desks and common areas.
We believe that these small changes can make a big difference in the overall health and happiness of our team.

The Challenge: Indoor Air Quality and Employee Health
Indoor air quality is still a concern in offices, particularly in busy cities like Dhaka.
Pollutants, dust, and chemicals can affect our health, productivity, and mood.
We realized that the work we started in 2024 needed to grow, and it was time to increase our efforts.
The Solution: More Plants, More Benefits
This Men’s Day, Mediusware expanded its green initiative by giving each desk two plants, one for air purification and another for creating a calming atmosphere.
We added more greenery to common areas as well, such as the lounge and meeting rooms, so everyone could enjoy the benefits.
By expanding the plant program, we’re making sure the air in our office stays fresh and clean for everyone.
The Impact: A Greener, Healthier Office
Since we added more plants, the benefits have been clear:
- Improved Air Quality: Plants like Snake Plants and Aloe Vera continue to reduce indoor pollutants and improve oxygen levels.
- Better Mood: With more greenery in the office, employees are feeling less stressed and more energized.
- Healthier Employees: Cleaner air means fewer sick days and better focus, helping our team stay at their best.
Our employees are excited to have more plants in their workspaces, and we’re already noticing a positive change in how the office feels.
Expert Insights: Why Plants Matter
Studies, like those from NASA, show how plants can clean indoor air.
As Kamal Meattle explains in his TED Talk, plants are powerful tools to “grow fresh air” in any office.
Studies also show that indoor plants improve air quality by removing pollutants like formaldehyde, benzene, and xylene.
The University of Technology Sydney confirms that offices with plants report 75% fewer sick days and a significant improvement in overall air quality.
Looking Ahead: Continuing the Green Movement
We are proud of how far we've come, but we won’t stop here. In the future, we plan to:
- Add more plants to our office and common areas.
- Create green corners with larger plants and mini indoor gardens.
- Encourage employees to bring in their own plants for a personalized touch.
Our goal is to create a sustainable and healthy environment where our team can thrive.

- How You Can Help: Contact us to get involved in this noble cause.
Introduction: Youth Stepping Up
In August 2024, Bangladesh faced a crisis with no traffic police on the streets due to protests.
During this time, students took responsibility for managing traffic and cleaning the roads in cities like Dhaka, Khulna, and Sylhet.
They worked in teams of 40-50 students per intersection, directing traffic and removing debris, helping restore order.
At Mediusware Foundation, we were inspired by their efforts.
To support them, we provided essentials like:
- Water
- Food
- Supplies
encouraging their incredible spirit and dedication.
The Challenge: Streets in Chaos
Without traffic police, cities like Dhaka saw heavy congestion and danger.
With over 57,000 street children already struggling for basic needs, the situation was critical.
But youth volunteers stepped in, taking control of key intersections to manage traffic and clean the roads.
They made the streets safer during a tough time.
The Solution: Youth Leadership in Action
As the situation grew, the youth volunteers expanded.

Introduction: Big Dreams, Harsh Realities
Imagine being a child with dreams of becoming a doctor, police officer, or engineer, but instead of going to school, you're forced to work on the streets just to survive.
Many children in need face this harsh reality.
Some have no parents, while others come from families that can't afford school.
These children:
- sleep on the streets
- Stays hungry all night
And everyday see their dreams fade away.
At Mediusware Foundation, we believe every child deserves a chance to dream big.
Through our Feeding Hope, Building Futures initiative, we help these children, contributing a portion of our own earnings to support them.
We believe no child should be left behind.
The Challenge: Hunger and Lost Dreams
In Dhaka, approximately 57,000 street children live on the streets, with no access to regular food, shelter, or education.
Many are forced to work just to survive.
Sadly, child labor is widespread in Bangladesh, with over 4.7 million children involved in work to make ends meet.
For these children, hunger, homelessness, and lack of education prevent them from reaching their full potential. As Sheldon Yett, UNICEF Representative to Bangladesh, says:
"Children in street situations are among the most underserved and hard-to-reach populations in Bangladesh."
We at Mediusware aim to be part of the change by offering hope and support to these children.
The Solution: Feeding Hope, Building Futures
Through Feeding Hope, Building Futures, Mediusware Foundation provides nutritious meals to unprivileged children, often going without food.
But we don’t stop there, we also offer guidance and support to help them return to school and pursue their dreams.
Here’s how we make a difference:
Nutritious Meals: Ensuring kids get the nutrition they need to stay healthy.
Education Support: Helping children access education and follow their dreams.
Hope for the Future: Listening to their aspirations and showing them a brighter path.
The Impact: Small Steps, Big Dreams
Since launching Feeding Hope, building Futures, we’ve seen significant changes in the lives of the children we support.
Aamir, a young boy who once sold balloons, is about to attend school from 2026.
Thanks to our meals and support, we found him and learnt about his life, his goals.
So, we decided to fund his one year's education cost including school, tuition, books and stationeries and so on.
Here’s the impact we’ve seen:
Improved Health: Children are healthier and more focused on their futures.
Better School Attendance: Consistent meals help kids attend school more regularly.
Dreams Restored: Many children are re-engaging in their education with renewed hopes.
Expert Insight: Nutrition is Key
Dr. Sarah Collins, a pediatric nutritionist, says:
"For children living on the streets, proper nutrition is essential. Without it, they struggle to learn and grow. Initiatives like Feeding Hope, Building Futures are critical in giving these children the foundation they need for a better future."
Looking Ahead: Expanding Hope
While we’ve made progress, many children still need help.
Mediusware Foundation is committed to investing a portion of our own earnings into expanding the Feeding Hope.
We want to
- Build future programs

Blood Donation Drive: A Mediusware Story
Key Takeaways
The Problem: Bangladesh needs more blood than is donated. Only about 30% comes from volunteers.
The Solution: Mediusware made a blood donor list and holds donation drives.
The Impact: Employees help each other in emergencies. The program builds community.
How You Can Help: Donate blood and encourage others to do the same.
Growing with Purpose
At Mediusware, we don’t just focus on growing our business, we also focus on growing our impact.
When our team expanded, we realized we could do more than just serve our clients. We could help save lives.
We started by connecting with blood donation organizations.
Soon, we had an idea: create a blood donor list for our employees.
This way, whenever someone in our team needed blood, they could quickly reach out to someone who shared their blood type.
It was a simple but powerful way to support one another.
Building a Lifeline for Our Team
As we grew to a team of over 100, the blood donor list became essential.
Not only did it help in emergencies, but it also created a sense of community within Mediusware.
Our employees could count on each other, whether it was for a surgery or a loved one needing blood.
We didn’t stop there.
Mediusware fully supports this initiative, we provide all sorts of support so they can make the donation happen like:
- Half-day to full day off on the donation day
- Travel allowance (if needed)
- Nutritious food right after blood donation
Bangladesh’s Blood Donation Challenge
Bangladesh needs 9-10 lac bags of blood every year for emergencies, surgeries, and treatments like thalassemia.
But only 31-32% of this blood comes from voluntary donors.
Last year, the country collected 600,000 to 750,000 units, still far from the required amount.
The rest often comes from friends or relatives, increasing risks of unsafe blood.
Why Voluntary Donation Matters
Dr. Md. Zainal Abedin Tito, Line Director, DGHS, says:
“As the country’s need for blood increases, regular, voluntary donations are crucial. The young generation must lead this mission.”
Bangladesh has made progress in improving blood transfusion services, but Dr. Murad Sultan from the WHO reminds us:
“Awareness movements are key to inspiring more people to donate blood.”
Mediusware’s Role: Making a Difference
At Mediusware, we’re proud to support this cause.
Our blood donor list not only helps our employees but also inspires others to join the effort.
By working together, we can create a community that ensures blood is available when needed most.
How You Can Help
We don’t accept donations, but you can still make a difference:
Spread the Word: Share this case study so others can learn about it too.

In Dhaka, approximately 57,000 unprivileged children live without access to regular food, shelter, or education.
Many of them, like Amir, have big dreams but face harsh realities.
We met Amir during our meal-sharing initiative, where he shared his dream of becoming a police officer.
Instead of going to school, he was selling balloons on the streets just to survive.
His story is not unique.

This program aims to provide 100 children with full educational support for one year, including:
- School fees
- Learning materials
- Mentorship
It’s about giving children like Amir the opportunity to overcome financial barriers and pursue a brighter future.
The Challenge: Hunger and Lost Dreams
Every day, children in Dhaka like Amir face the struggle of survival instead of attending school.
They often:
- Living on the streets
- to work just to eat and find shelter
- leaving their dreams behind.
Only 55% of children in urban slums attend school regularly, with many dropping out because their families can’t afford the fees.
Over 4.7 million children in Bangladesh are involved in child labor, forced to work just to make ends meet.
As Sheldon Yett, UNICEF Representative to Bangladesh, says:
"Children in street situations are among the most underserved and hard-to-reach populations in Bangladesh. A more targeted approach is needed to ensure they reach their full potential through education."
At Mediusware Foundation, we want to change that.
We’re committed to helping children like Amir access the education they deserve and build a better future.
The Solution: Student Scholarship Program
The Student Scholarship Program was created to break the cycle of poverty and give children the chance to grow.
Our goal is to provide 100 children with full educational support for one year, from school fees to learning materials, mentorship, and emotional support.
Here’s how the program works:
- Full Educational Support: School fees, books, and materials are covered to ensure no child is left behind.
- Mentorship and Guidance: We provide support to help students stay motivated and focused on their studies.
- Holistic Development: Alongside academics, we focus on emotional and social support to help children grow in all aspects of life.
The Impact: Small Steps, Big Dreams
Since starting the Student Scholarship Program, we expect to see real changes in the children we help.
Amir, who used to sell balloons to survive, is now back in school and working hard to make his dream of becoming a police officer come true.
With full support, kids like Amir can focus on their education and take the first steps toward a better future.
Here’s what we hope to achieve:
- Better School Attendance: With regular support and check-ins, children will attend school more often and stay focused on their lessons.
- Improved Grades: By covering school fees and giving them learning materials, we expect to see better grades and more engagement in class.
- Improved Well-Being: Consistent support will enhance children’s emotional and mental well-being, helping them feel secure and valued.
Expert Insight: Education is Empowerment
As Dr. Sarah Collins, an education expert, explains:
“Education is one of the most powerful tools a child can have. It’s not just about learning, it’s about giving children the skills and opportunities to create a better life for themselves and their communities. Programs like Mediusware’s Student Scholarship Program are essential for breaking the cycle of poverty.”
Looking Ahead: Expanding Opportunities
